Since the EuP Directive (2005/32/EC) has entered in to force, and replaced by ErP Directive (2009/125/EC) from 2009/11/20, 11 commission regulations implementing this directive with regards to ecodesign requirements for different product categories have been published and entered into force. ErP directive contributes to sustainable development by increasing energy efficiency and the level of protection of the environment stage by stage.

A new regulation under ErP Directive, (EU) No.206/2012 with ecodesign requirements for Air Conditioners and
Comfort Fans, has published on March 6th, 2012 and will entry into force on the 26th March, 2012.
The requirements concerning certain products will enter the next stage with a higher energy efficiency level within
several months. The table below summarizes the date of entering into next stage for each product group.
